It is very pleasing when something you envisage works.  I had this very image in mind the other weekend when I visited the Highland Wildlife Park near Aviemore, where pheasants are quite common and in the open.  So if they display there is a reasonable chance of capturing it.  I saw perhaps 8 displays but this was the only one I managed to photograph i.e. right place, right time.  A car window shot.  EOS 1D MK2, 300mm F2.8, ISO 125, -2/3 stop, 1/3200th at F3.5.  Processed in CS2.
