Mark Hamblin,  Michael Callan and myself have spent a wonderful but very tiring spring photographing Black Grouse at the lek.  This involved getting up at 0245hrs driving to lek and setting up hides at 0415hrs before birds arrived.  The lek held 5 males, up to 3 young males and 6 females.  This image was taken on 18/4/2011 at 0656hrs.  IOS 1000.  EOS 1D4, 70-200mm zoom set at 148mm, 1/5000th at F3.5.  No crop.
