Sparrowhawk attacking gathering Starlings

One from my Autumn project on Starlings gathering prior to roost.  Taken at the Loch of Leys Banchory at 1553hrs on 27th November 2011.  The gathering flock of several thousands of Starlings will often form very complex geometrical patterns when attacked by a bird of prey in an attempt to confuse the predator.  Canon EOS 1D4, 70-200mm at 70mm, ISO 800, 1/640th at F2.8
